every tuesday morning the farm harvests vegetables from the garden for our CSA members. this morning, toby and i helped. these are the carrots that we picked.
toby is taking the basket of spinach to the truck. believe it or not, he ate most of the leaves that he picked! then he held the basket while i picked some. he doesn't like spinach or carrots when they are cooked for dinner but he loves to eat them fresh from the garden!
here toby is chomping on a swiss chard leaf!
isn't this pretty? after we pick the veggies they are taken to our processing house and washed. then they are separated into shares. the csa members come in the afternoon to pick up their bundle of yummy produce!

ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! When we had our pathetic little garden in Bryan, the kids would go out and eat Kale raw (gross!), but I doubt they would've eaten it cooked. Kids are funny! Hopefully we'll get to see you guys and your two adorable little ones soon!
