new hobbies

i've discovered some new and wonderful hobbies in the past few weeks. first i learned to knit. i love it! it's actually relaxing. all i've made so far is two scarves and a headband. i'm working on a blue headband currently.

then one of the ladies who is visiting the farm for a few months, showed me how to use my sewing machine. i've had a basic idea but would get lost as soon as the thread came out. so i learned how to put the thread in and change the bobbin, etc. it's so exciting! i dont want to buy material yet when i'm still just learning so i've been experimenting with old t-shirts. yesterday i made elliana a dress out of my farm t-shirt. it's really cute but has lots of mistakes. then today i decorated some onesies for the new baby!
