T: "look mom! see the hay?"
me: "yeah, i see it."
T: "goats eat hay. and cows eat hay."
me: "thats right toby"
T: "boys don't eat hay. boys eat....(pause)...boys eat honey bread."
after waking up from his nap yesterday...
T: "i dreamed about lions...and jesus....and david."
after waking up this morning...
me: "did you have any dreams last night, toby?"
T: "yeah, about lions...and jesus...and daddy...and planes...and star wars...and fireworks...and planes...and lions."
his teacher, mrs. marcie, told me about a conversation that she had with toby the other day at parent's day out. he wasn't falling asleep so she went and patted his back.
T: "where's your daddy?"
mrs. marcie: "well, he's probably at work"
T: "my daddy is at work. he's milking the goats. and the cows. and the chickens."
mrs. marcie: "haha, ok toby i need to go see some other kids, but i'll be back in a little bit."
T: "ok, thats a good idea."
