sports injury

well, today was crazy.

long-story-short; david dislocated and fractured his big toe today during his soccer game. OUCH!

so different friends at the farm watched the kids, while we spent a few hours at the ER. david was in a lot of pain. but after several numbing shots and pain killers, the doctor popped his toe back in place. now he gets to wear one of those awesome white hospital shoes. the sad part is that his soccer career is on hold. he has an appointment with a foot doctor next week to find out more details about how to heal his foot properly. pray that he will heal quickly!

other notes:

little E is now saying phrases! "bye bye daddy" "hold me please" "where's toby?"

she loves to say words with an "L" in them. so she squeals when she sees our neighbor, Molly. and says, "molly, molly, molly" with an exaggerated tongue sticking out as she says the "L" sound.

T is still very into tractors and being like his daddy.

we still haven't moved into the duplex. but we are hopeful for the next few weeks.

we made pizza again last night. we have a new crust recipe that is just delicious. we are going to be pizza experts.

thats all for now.

  2. Poor David! Zach says he hope it doesn't slow down tractor work - epsom salts, good for fall tomatoes and dislocated toes - and we're thinking about him. Oh, my goodness! You guys are moving into the duplex that soon?? That's exciting. I had no idea it was so close. We'll see you guys farm day, God-willing. Do you like your new short hair? Is it Mia Farrow short? I bet you look really cute.
