we spent thursday through sunday at the Haven River Inn. (fyi for some reason i can only open the website in Explorer, not Firefox) we traveled 3.5 hours to hang out at this beautiful old mansion with 6 other families. combined there were 11 little ones crawling/running around! we had a wonderful time! i could list so many things that i felt during the weekend; i felt loved, challenged, yet safe, encouraged, blessed...
Highlights of the trip:

*toby holding the skin that fell off the bottom of david smithers foot
*laying out by the pool
*every lady tearing up at some point during the weekend
*brian's love for the gravy breakfast

*evan making several goals during the glow-in-the-dark ultimate game
*drew's frisbee shorts
*being able to put babies to bed then have adult time
*steph's unneeded confession to melissa and jenny
*rocking chairs
*stacy's shared secret
*being sung over by lucretia
*ru and toby's battle for the trains
*watching ru swim around the pool all by herself
*watching toby notice jada
*steph lee's scones
*sam's hair and smile
*seeing the hill boys wrestle
*skinny elijah and chubby collier
*elliana's instant friendship with Cherish
*the sweet smiles of Christian and Justice
*Evan's water tricks
*laughing at David and Brian pick on each other
*baby Isaiah's little legs
*drinking coffee with and gaining wisdom from the Smithers
*Alan's communion song
*Josh's new song
*Jason's kindness
*and already looking forward to many more reunions together!

ReplyDeleteWe are so sad that we had to miss it! We ended up having to cancel our family reunion because of grandparent issues. Ryan had to go to Mississippi last weekend to see his grandfather who is on his last few months and my grandfather ended up passing away last weekend. We really hope to be able to make it next year!!
