good bday

well our camera broke again a few weeks ago. so thats why i haven't added any new posts. i'll load you up with adorable pictures of T and E when the camera is fixed. hopefully that happens next week.

i also wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who wished me a happy birthday. i am so thankful to know such wonderful people. i love you all!

so this year was my 25th birthday. every year since probably about 13, the celebration of a being a year older has been sort of a dud for me. i was one of the youngest of my peers. so each year it felt like i was finally turning whatever age everyone around me was. dont get me wrong, i've had some great birthdays, i'm just saying the number wasn't a big deal. it was like i finally made it. well this year i decided to get over that. i have friends younger than me and friends older than me. and i am happy to be 25. having two kids and being 25 makes me feel young and old at the same time. i like it. i like to be undefined. i like feeling unique. i like wearing lots of pink, makeup, big earrings and having poofy dreadlocks. i like living on a farm but not quite being a farmer myself. i like to host semi-formal parties then come home in our vegetable-oil-powered giant truck. :)

and i just have to say that saturday evening was so so much fun! david and i, and some precious friends of ours played in dallas. we ate dinner at a great Italian restaurant that served rock candy to stir your coffee. so cute! we had some good Jacob's Creek Shiraz in our amazing room at the Hyatt. we slept in the biggest bed that you've ever seen. running, laughing, piano playing, taboo, the Titanic, powdered donuts and Cafe Brazil. Thank you friends! It was a great birthday!
