since we were all having so much fun, when the party was over we headed down the street to another friends house. bouncy swim castle, legos, 4 cheese pizzas, 18 popsicles, champagne, a few nappers, naked boy time, girls dressing up, forts, running, laughing, silly pictures, 5 moms and 13 kids!! fast forward to 5:15pm...crying, melt downs, searching for shoes, wondering what quick meal to cook as you shove the kids in the car!
it was truly a great day. i am an extrovert. i am energized by being around other people. my toby is the same way. i'm so thankful to have other mommies in my life. it took me being in waco for 4 years before i joined MOPS(mothers of preschoolers) that is how i met these lovely ladies. why did i wait so long? and what would i do without them now? if you are a mom, JOIN THE MOPS IN YOUR TOWN! why do we try to do it on our own? we need other moms to bounce ideas off of, to ask their opinion, get advice, be reminded that you are a woman and a wife not JUST a mommy, to help you feel sane when the kids are making you feel crazy, to laugh with, cry with, have adult conversations with(albeit frequently interrupted by little people) and the list goes on and on!
these are the hot mamas that we played with today. the pictures are from our getaway weekend a few weeks ago. I love you all! :)
ps: anyone else watch the Bachlorette? this is the first season that i've watched from the beginning. it's addicting. like iced coffee. i can't decide who i'm rooting for...Chris L. or Roberto...both good choices I think!
i LOVE MOPS. Your right..MOPS brings balance in my life...just not a mom, but a WIFE and a WOMAN! Enjoy reading little updates and stories on your family...so precious! Plus your realness is a fresh of breath air! Thanks for just being you!
