Good Times in Waco: Farm lunch!

Most weekdays we go down to the Ed Building for lunch.  We usually get there a little early.  Sometimes we walk up to the office to check our mailbox.  This time we saw David in a meeting with a couple other farmers.

Over the years there have been different farmers that want to hold our kids every time we see them, that call themselves Uncle or Aunt and just over-the-top love on our kiddos.  Allan, Kris, Ellie Lewis, Susan...

Well Stephen is from South Africa and is here at the farm for a year.  And he is Asha's current, "Uncle!"  As soon as we see him at lunch Asha reaches for him!  He holds her and gets his lunch at the same time.  Then he puts her in her seat, puts her bib on and hands her the plum that I usually bring for her. He is so helpful and we are thankful for him!

Sweet Elise posing for me by the yummy lunch that she made.  That big mason jar is cabbage that she had fermenting since October!  It was so flavorful and yummy.  Every time Elise is the chef for lunch you can expect the food to be wonderful!

Toby likes to sneak into the Fair's house and play with their boys before lunch.  Averick is Toby's "brother friend.."

This is where the farm kids have started eating their lunch lately.

It was hard to get the two little girls to look at me.  This is the best shot I could get of Phoebe & Asha

After lunch the kids take their dishes to the kitchen and scrape the extra food into the compost.  Then run around and play together until the moms take theirs home for rest time.
It's fun to be a farm kid!
